Can Canada reach its climate goals?

Assessing the opportunities and challenges
in implementing Canada’s climate plan

An online forum hosted by Clean Prosperity

January 25, 2022 • 12:00 pm – 1:15 pm (EST)

The federal Liberal government has committed to an ambitious climate plan, underpinned by an increasing carbon price.

Modelling by Clean Prosperity suggests that the Liberal climate policies could give Canada a reasonable chance of achieving its Paris Agreement target, and putting the country on a path to net-zero emissions by 2050.

Reaching these goals will be challenging, and will require all levels of government and the private sector to work together.

On January 25, 2022, Clean Prosperity hosted an online forum on the challenges and opportunities ahead, with former Minister of Finance Hon. Bill Morneau, former Liberal MP Martha Hall Findlay, Capital Power Senior Vice President Kate Chisholm, and former Deputy Secretary to the Cabinet Matthew Mendelsohn.
